Enviromat Pitched Roof

Enviromat is a mix of 17 drought-loving succulents integrated into an easy to handle flexible geotextile mat. The lightweight carrier mat is made up of a non-woven fleece sown to a drainage composite layer of looped polyamide filaments, thermally bonded to a specially designed perforated, non-woven filter fabric. The integrated moisture retention fleece can store up to 5 litres of water per square metre. The sedum species selected have been chosen to provide varied colour and texture throughout the seasons. Enviromat has been designed as a lightweight retrofit solution, ideal for pitched roofs. Enviromat will contain mature plants with at least 95% coverage.

Each of our green roof kits, designed for pitched roofs, come with the main ingredients that you need to transform your gently sloping roof into a true green roof. Each kit contains a root barrier to protect your waterproofing from any potential root damage, as well as a living carpet of gorgeous hardy sedum plants. From the moment you unroll Enviromat Sedum Matting your roof will be carpeted with vegetation.

Enviromat is cut to measure 2m² and weigh 25kg – saturated weight may be up to 44kg.

RHS Plants for Pollinators - contains plant species that support pollinating insects.

A mixture of mature plants that allows you to establish dense planting very quickly - more reliable than seeding and less time consuming than plug planting.

Biodiverse and pollinator friendly providing a valuable source of nectar and food for many species of insects and birds.

Contains perennial species that are frost hardy down to -20°C.

Environmentally friendly requiring no pesticides.

Drought tolerant – only requiring occasional watering during long spells of dry weather.

Very low maintenance.

Prefers a neutral to slightly alkaline pH but can tolerate acidic soils - for installation on a roof this product requires no additional growing medium.

Please Note: This product must not be installed onto a level surface as sedum plants will not survive in waterlogged conditions.

Delivery Info

As Meadowmat is hand harvested, we can not deliver next day. The soonest we can deliver meadowmat would be three working days after ordering.

We deliver meadowmat Tuesday to Friday as standard and Saturday (Saturday AM delivery must be selected in the checkout), orders can be delivered next day if placed before 1pm Monday to Friday.

Deliveries are made on pallets, on curtain sided lorries with a tail lift and pallet trolley. See our delivery details page for more information on our delivery service.
